Although Lehi and Sariah are in their old age, here they begin a new journey together and face the wilderness ahead. They turn to the Lord for direction, revelation, and light and their faith is rewarded by the appearance of the Liahona “which is, being interpreted, a compass.” (Alma 37:38) Lehi and Sariah’s arms form a triangle, with the Liahona at the apex, as a symbol of the triangle formed when a couple becomes one and looks to God together. We all have a wilderness to cross, but if we will discover our own Liahona—a symbol of the word of God—and heed it, ahead of us lies a Promised Land. - Joseph Brickey
