The Martin Company was the fifth and final company to leave Britain's shores that year. They left Liverpool, England on the morning of May 22, 1856 with 575 Latter-Day Saints on the ship "Horizon". Little did this body of Saints realize what they were about to experience ... and the kind of legacy they would leave for the rest of us.
